the excellent quality of teaching which can prepare a student with a
high level of understanding. Computer science homework help covers all
the important topics in computer science.
Computer
science is also called as computing science. Computer science can be
defined in many ways. Basically computer science is the study of all
the aspects of a computer along with the computer architecture,
languages and applications. It also deals with the study of the
mathematical structures that are related to computers and computation.
Computer science can also be defined as the systematic study of the
algorithmic processes which states and transform information.
Sometimes a common man can get confused about
computer science that it deals with some main areas like information
science. But basically computer science is mainly based on
understanding all the basic properties of the programs which are used
in implementing the software such as web browsers, games etc. and by
taking those into account creating new software which is improved
version of the existing ones.
Computer science
came into existence by the invention of the modern digital computer. In
olden days machines like ABACUS were used for calculations of a fixed
or limited number of tasks. After this Charles Babbage invented
difference machine which performed more tasks in less duration of time.
This was the new era in computing technology and hence Charles Babbage
is called as Father of computers.
There are five
generations of computers listed as first generation, second generation,
third generation, fourth generation and fifth generation.
First generation (1940-1956) computer systems used
vacuum tubes for the design of their circuitry and magnetic drums were
used for memory devices. First generation computers mainly used machine
level language which is the lowest level programming language
understood by computers to solve only one task at a time.
Second generation (1956-1963) used transistors
which formed as a replacement for the vacuum tubes. Second generation
used assembly level language for computations instead of machine level
language.
Third generation (1964-1971) used
integrated circuits which became the hallmark of the third generation
computers. At this level transistors were replaced by silicon chips or
semiconductors which improved the performance of the system and speed
of operation.
Fourth generation (1971-present)
computer systems used microprocessors as thousands of integrated
circuits were able to be built on a single chip. This chip had all the
circuitry from CPU, memory to I/O devices.
Fifth
generation (present and beyond) computer systems used artificial
intelligence and they are still under research and development. Some of
the applications of these are nanotechnology, voice recognition,
parallel processing, quantum computation etc.
Computer science is not only limited to its own field, but it has
gained an immense importance in many fields in daily life such as
information technology, science, economics, mathematics, medicine,
education, astronomy, linguistics and many more fields.
Computer science is a vast subject and it is very
important to study all the aspects correctly. Computer science homework
help gives the student whole knowledge about the subject in
understanding every concept in a well organized way.
